Tone On Tone #112 When you need instant elegance and sophistication use tone on tone designs. A traditional wedding or shower look, you can use tone on tone to make any party "upscale". Hearts Galore #204 This program features hearts of every size and color. When you're planning a dessert for a special person nothing says "I love you", like a heart. Hearts are appropriate for birthdays, weddings, showers, Valentines and Mothers day. In fact, every special person and occasion warrants a heart. Our first cake is perfect for each of those occasions and more. It's an entire crown of hearts and as an added treat we've used the same design for a salad. Our decorating basic is a review of the first steps in decorating. Our second feature expands beyond cakes to giant heart cookies. These are such a great gift dessert. Patriotic #205 Raise the flag on a program featuring patriotic designs. Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate #301 It's hard to find anyone that doesn't love chocolate. When it comes to baking, chocolate is the main ingredient for some of our favorite desserts. From candy, to cakes to cookies - they all are just a little more special with a touch of chocolate. Our first dessert is a wonderful cheesecake - pretty good on its own but wait until you add chocolate truffles and a chocolate ganache center. On "Ask Nancy", our first question is on fondant. Then we have a very exciting special guest, Tish Boyle, the editor of Chocolatier magazine, with a romantic recipe, a chocolate heart cake. The decorating tip is the star tip and all of its uses. Classic Cakes #302 What makes a classic cake? Classics are recipes that have stood the test of time, and have become a favorite for lots of people. There are many different versions of the same recipe - with a little special touch everyone adds to make the recipe unique First up is a classic pound cake, but it looks anything but basic when it s made in a specialty cake pan. Then it's "Ask Nancy" and questions about the flavor of fondant. The next classic cake is a carrot cake with great icing decorations. Time for Baking Apples #303 What says fall to you? Autumn leaves, football, and crisp apples. Apples are great all year long but especially in the fall. The show features apples - every variety. Our first cake is a round apple cake with an iced lattice basket. On "Ask Nancy" we return with a very popular topic and our third lesson on fondant. Then you can use that new knowledge on a mint green fondant covered cake featuring a rope border and of course an apple design. This show features our specialties.We want to encourage every generation to try baking and to pass on their love of cooking to daughters, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. It's those favorite desserts that are the legacy you pass on. The first dessert is one of those recipes, it's called "Mom's pumpkin roll". Then our "Ask Nancy" segment is about purchased vs. handmade fondant.
