BOSTON (April 1, 2008) – America’s favorite public television personalities will be featured in Saturday themed marathons this May on Create TV – available on digital cable and digital broadcast across the country (check local listings). The channel, a unique destination for many of television’s highest-rated lifestyle series, showcases six-hour marathons of episodes focusing on different themes each week.

This May, Create TV’s marathons will feature entertaining home improvement, gardening and cooking themes, including: “Young at Heart” (May 3); “Berry Berry Good” (May 10); “Green Acres” (May 17); “In Your Own Backyard” (May 24); and “East Coast Swing” (May 31).

Young at Heart – May 3
Like Frank Sinatra said, “Fairy tales can come true, it can happen to you if you’re young at heart.” Create TV’s decorators, artists, gardeners and chefs make what you thought were fairytale home improvement ideas into creative, beautiful realities, just for children. Katie Brown, Donna Dewberry, Vicki Payne, Sloan Payne-Rutter and P. Allen Smith will offer ways to add that special child-friendly touch to playrooms, gardens and a child’s party. And Create’s Low Carb Cookworx chefs will prepare healthy snacks especially for little fingers.

Berry Berry Good – May 10
Let the healthy goodness of berries, cherries and other fruit play a major part in your daily recipes. From the main course to dessert, Create TV’s chefs, including Caprial and John Spence, Jeff Nathan and America’s Test Kitchen’s Chris Kimball, will show you how to get a fruity burst of flavor in each mouthful. Your food will be so infused with natural fruit flavor you’ll think you just picked it from a tree.

Green Acres – May 17
Looking for ways to live a more eco-friendly lifestyle? Gardener P. Allen Smith will demonstrate how to build a garden home from environmentally friendly “green” materials. Eating “green” is important too, and Create TV’s chefs will offer tasty recipes the whole family will enjoy.

In Your Own Backyard – May 24
What’s happening in your backyard? A fantastic party? Or, perhaps the time has come for that much-needed makeover. Create TV experts Steven Raichlen, Rick Bayless, and Katie Brown will show you how to throw a fantastic party, while Vicki Payne, Sloan Payne Rutter and P. Allen Smith will explain how to turn your backyard into the oasis you’ve always wanted – that additional “room” that your family will never want to leave.

East Coast Swing – May 31
Tour the east coast with chefs Todd English, John Shields and world traveler Burt Wolf. From Maine to Pennsylvania, viewers will visit the sites and hear about the foods of this popular region. Through the eyes of these “foodie” hosts, viewers will enjoy a Maine clambake, get a taste of Salt Water Taffy in Atlantic City and check out rich history in Boston!
