Lidia Bastianich will co-host the 2010 James Beard Foundation Awards, alongside Wolfgang Puck and Alton Brown, on May 3 at the Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall in New York City.

The James Beard Foundation Awards honors the best people and places in the culinary world – more Create hosts and programs were nominated this year.


Rick Bayless of Mexico – One Plate At A Time With Rick Bayless was nominated for best “TV Food Personality,” and Food Trip With Todd English will be up for the “Television Special” award.

Gourmet’s Adventures With Ruth was nominated for “Best Television Show: On Location,” while John Besh of The Great American Seafood Cook-Off and Lidia Bastianich of Lidia’s Italy both earned nominations in the James Beard Foundation Books Awards.
