What's New in August
Celebrate Julia Child in August
August 15 would have been Julia Child's 100th birthday. Create celebrates the first lady of cooking television with a special tribute page featuring memories, videos, and photos of Julia from her friends and colleagues including Jacques Pepin, Sara Moulton, Lidia Bastianich and more. There are also recipes, famous quotes from Julia and several full-length episodes of Julia cooking with various Create TV chefs over the years. You can also watch previews of three episodes of The French Chef Classics not seen since the 1960s. These will be airing on public television stations nationwide this month, so be sure to check your local public television station's schedule.
We invite you to share your memories of Julia and welcome your versions of her recipes (Have you made a vegetarian version of beef bourguignon?) via Twitter - just remember to use the hashtag #CookforJulia!
Happy cooking and bon appetit!
