Catherine “Cat” Neville is the Emmy-winning producer and host of tasteMAKERS (wearetastemakers.com), a national public TV series that explores the maker movement from coast to coast.
Cat is publisher of St. Louis-based Feast Magazine and Ladue News and producer and host of Feast TV, which airs on public television stations across Missouri and southern Illinois. Cat joined Lee Enterprises in March of 2010 to develop Feast, which debuted in August 2010, covering the St. Louis-area culinary scene. In October 2014, Catherine expanded Feast to a regional magazine with a circulation of 150,000. The magazine is distributed across the state of Missouri, southern Illinois and eastern Kansas. Feast TV, the magazine's half-hour show, can be seen on PBS affiliates the Nine Network, KCPT, KMOS, OPTV and WSIU.
Catherine has won five Mid-America Emmy Awards for Feast TV. In 2016, Feast was awarded the Navigator Media Award by the Missouri Department of Tourism as well as Media Outlet of the Year by the Kansas City Restaurant Association. In 2015, Catherine was named one of Folio:'s Top Women in Media in the Entrepreneur category. Catherine won an Eddie Award in 2014 for her feature article on St. Louis chef Kevin Willmann.
In 1999, Catherine co-founded Sauce Magazine. She sold her interest in Bent Mind Creative Group, LLC, Sauce Magazine’s parent company, in February of 2010. Feast and Sauce each received nominations for James Beard journalism awards under her direction Catherine serves as a judge for the James Beard Foundation’s restaurant and journalism awards and is a member of Les Dames d’Escoffier.
