A trailblazer on Food Network Canada with Christine Cushing Live and her reality show Fearless in the Kitchen on the Oprah Winfrey Network, Christine has been showing Canada how to cook for 20 years. She is currently the resident chef on the Marilyn Denis Show, the highest-rated talk show in Canada, and star of the documentary food series Confucius Was a Foodie. Chef Christine’s impressive food knowledge, curiosity and down-to-earth style have endeared her to everyone from foodies to armchair travelers to children.
Born in Athens, Greece, Christine immigrated to Canada with her family when she was a child. In Canada, she began her culinary training at George Brown College and eventually graduated at the top of her class at Paris-based École de Cuisine La Varenne. She has worked in such renowned kitchens as Toronto’s Four Seasons Hotel and Scaramouche Restaurant. She has published three best-selling cookbooks, Dish it Out, Fearless in the Kitchen, and Pure Food, which won a Gourmand world cookbook award in Spain.
