Create TV announces new seasons of popular shows and the addition of four new series to its lineup for December.

Popular food writer Ruth Riechl takes her second TV series to Create. Gourmet’s Adventures With Ruth, beginning Dec. 23, follows the connoisseur as she travels the globe to visit exotic cooking schools and experience local foods and traditions. Ruth travels alongside her Gourmet colleagues Ian Knauer and Doc Willoughby and celebrity guests, including actors Dianne Wiest, Lorraine Bracco, Frances McDormand and Jeffrey Wright. Gourmet’s Adventures With Ruth is produced and presented by WGBH Boston and distributed by American Public Television.

In the tradition of reality TV competition, Create TV will air The Winemakers beginning Dec. 10. Follow 12 men and women from all walks of life as they vie for a chance to create and launch their own wine label. Contestants plunge head-first into one of the most challenging yet rewarding professions in this fast-paced series. The Winemakers is produced by Doc City Productions, presented by South Carolina ETV and distributed by American Public Television.

The classic PBS woodworking series The Woodwright’s Shop joins the Create lineup on Dec. 1. Host Roy Underhill honors the ways of yesterday, using hand tools for making classic heirloom pieces, including chairs, tables, and other enduring treasures. The Woodwright’s Shop is produced and presented by UNC-TV and distributed by PBS.

Explore the beauty and folklore of the American West with OpenRoad, beginning Dec. 1. This travel series follows journalist, environmentalist and fourth-generation Westerner Doug McConnell as he embarks on exciting adventures from Alaska to Mexico and the Rockies to Hawaii. OpenRoad is produced by Convergence Media Productions, presented by KQED, and distributed by American Public Television.

New seasons of two popular cooking shows begin in December. Season two of Chris Kimball’s television series Cook’s Country from America’s Test Kitchen begins airing on Dec. 2. And Rick Bayless adds season seven of his popular series Mexico – One Plate at a Time beginning Dec. 10.

Create TV announces the addition of three culinary-themed programs to its November line up.
 
New York City’s popular French chef Eric Ripert joins the line up of Create’s culinary experts with his cooking series Avec Eric. The series takes viewers around the world in search for the perfect ingredients, then back to Eric’s home kitchen to recreate a dish discovered abroad. Avec Eric also gives viewers an inside look into Eric’s popular New York City restaurant Le Bernadin. Avec Eric airs Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Nov. 12. Avec Eric is co-produced by A La Carte Productions and Anomaly, presented by KQED, and distributed nationally by American Public Television.

Famous TV chef Lidia Bastianich continues her culinary journey through Italy in the latest season of Lidia’s Italy – one of public television’s popular cooking series. Lidia explores her homeland’s gastronomic palate then brings viewers back to her home kitchen for unforgettable home cooking lessons. The third season of Lidia’s Italy airs through December on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays beginning Nov. 27. Lidia’s Italy is produced by Tavola Productions, presented by WGBH and distributed nationally by American Public Television.

On Saturday, Nov. 21, Create will air the “Let’s Talk Turkey” marathon including a new holiday special, A Home for Christy Rost: Thanksgiving. This special follows award-winning lifestyles expert, cooking host, cookbook author and home design expert Christy Rost as she plans a festive Thanksgiving dinner for family and friends. The “Let’s Talk Turkey” marathon, including A Home for Christy Rost: Thanksgiving, will air again on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26. A Home for Christy Rost: Thanksgiving is produced by Eagle Ridge Media Inc / Christy Rost and is presented and distributed nationally by American Public Television.

Pack your bags for the talked-about culinary road-trip series Spain... on the road Again -- featuring Gwyneth Paltrow, Mario Batali, Mark Bittman and Spanish actress Claudia Bassols. If you missed it the first time, catch it again on Mondays and Fridays beginning Oct. 12.
